I’ve always been a storyteller.  The ancient art of regaling the folks by the fireside with engaging tales has been transformed by technology over the years, but the need and desire for powerful stories has never changed.  When I realized that people would pay me to tell their story, that’s when my career in advertising and marketing began.  When I found that many were interested in reading unique descriptions of historical events, I began to do that as well.  These days, I find that I am increasingly combining the two under the heading of “content marketing”.  Shortened national attention span be damned, a good story is worth its weight in gold, subscribers, or clicks for your brand, or even just your own entertainment.  If you’d like to know more, please get in touch.

Ideas That Work

Many people have ideas.  Most of them are bad (the ideas, not the people).  As for me, I have a gift for good ideas, but even more importantly, the right idea.  The core concept is where it all begins:  the creative process, the marketing process, and the storytelling that successfully takes us from beginning to end. The right idea is where the human connection is made. My concepts capture interest, they nurture it, and they keep it.  I think about the possibilities of the long term, and I work in the realities of the here and now.  That is what you get when you work with me.

No one has seen it all.  But I have been fortunate to experience an incredible range of writing, marketing, and publishing challenges.  Each one is unique, and yet they share one all-important factor:  human communication.  Since human beings are the only customers we will ever have, we need to communicate accordingly.  That is what you get when you work with me.

Big ideas and creative solutions are very exciting.  But they are completely worthless without responsible and effective execution.  There is an extreme discipline that is the foundation of the creative process.  Without it, the end product is unfocused and irrelevant.  I was fortunate to be groomed as a creative professional that understands my role and how I must be responsible to my team and my clients. The work we do together impacts us all, and we do it with purpose.  That is what you get when you work with me.
